A decent aftermarket alarm has a "warn away" feature, a shock sensor strategically placed on the steering column. If my Warn Away sounds off, a page is sent to my remote. The default setting on it senses if someone even folds the side mirror harshly. In your case, I would have learned from the first time and even put in a proximity sensor, thereby protecting even the exterior. These days, GPS tracking stand alone units are also available for 3-400 dollars. Without an ignition kill, or even better a fuel kill, your whole car will be next. You just told that thief that your car only has a stock alarm. He might have a friend interested in a Z32 whose owner doesn't believe that conventional methods of theft deterrence work.
